About BNI

BNI is a global networking organisation. Its sole purpose is getting members more business.  It is split into regional 'Chapters' (such as Shrewsbury) and each of these is made up of a set of members.  The members are representatives of businesses in the area - from sole traders to global organisations with all sizes of business in between.  (In order to understand the types of companies who join BNI have a look at our member list and list of vacancies).

The meetings are a way of bringing a diverse set of local organisations together in a way that improves business for everyone.  Only one member per business category is allowed to join, ensuring that there are no competitors.  Members are encouraged to use each others' services wherever possible and to actively look for business for each other in the course of the working week from their business contacts.  An added benefit of joining the chapter is that you will lock out your competition from joining and using this extra sales force to grow their business!

The principle of BNI is 'Givers Gain' - or to put it another way, if you bring me business, I will try hard to bring you business.  The principle works well and never more so than for small and start up companies who often find that being a BNI member is invaluable.  This is not to say that BNI doesn't work for larger organisations because it does.  Why else would one of the regins top accountancy firms be an active member?

The best way to see how it works is to come along as a visitor.  Simply contact us and one of our leadership team will get back to you to have a chat about when you can come along.
