Phil Chambers is the reigning World Mind Mapping Champion and a member of the International Advisory Committee on Mind Mapping and Mental Literacy. He is a six times Mind Sports Olympiad Medalist and International Grandmaster of Mind Mapping. He has been a Buzan Licensed Instructor since 1995, trained by Tony Buzan (originator of Mind Mapping) and Vanda North (founder of Buzan Centres). He currently works as an advisor to Buzan Centres Worldwide on course and materials development. In addition to this, he is a certified Working Styles Analysis User, a Registered Accelerated Learning Trainer, a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and a member of the Professional Speakers Association. Prior to entering the training profession, Phil worked as a computer programmer and has a BSc in Physics and Chemistry from the University of Durham. Drawing on this scientific background, he is one of the few people to successfully apply Mind Mapping to mathematics. Phil is Chief Arbiter of the World Memory Sports Council and scorer of the Mind Sports Olympiad Memory and Speed Reading events. He is a founder member of the Mind Sports Council and his contribution to Mind Sports won him the “Special Services to Memory” award in 1996. His Mind Maps have been published in Hodder & Stoughton’s GCSE and A-Level Revision Guides, “The Learning Revolution” and “Teaching Pupils How To Learn”. He is co-author of “A Mind to do Business” and “The Student Survival Guide” and sole author of "101 Top Tips for Better Mind Maps".
